Position Summary

The Rental/Retail Planner works with the Buying, Rental/Retail Operations, and Logistic team and is responsible for pre-season and in-season forecasting, assortment planning, pricing, margin analysis, inventory control, and capacity planning for our business. This position requires excellent analytical skills, retail business experience, and the ability to work well alone and with a team. This role is diverse and dynamic. This role will report to the Purchasing and Planning Manager

The budgeted salary range for this position is $63,936 - $89,510. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Buying team to drive assortment recommendations, developing brand and key item projections, as well as style count, depth, and sizing for preseason purchasing
  • Operate and own pricing actions, managing the product lifecycle, weeks of supply targets, and end of season markdowns to optimize profit
  • Manage and administer discount pricing rules for point of sale execution
  • Develop product unit forecast to assist Buyers with pre-season commitments. Review weekly results at the brand, category, and style levels and adjust forecasts in season
  • Review Open-to-Buy weekly with retail management and buying team 
  • Maintain Replenishment System and execute store transfers and vendor orders to ensure timely and efficient supply of product 
  • Oversee in-season maintenance of retail material master data 
  • Deliver reports as needed – Ex. Past Due Purchase Orders, Availability, Inbound/Outbound Receipt flows, Ending Inventory Projections, etc
  • Manage the financial success by meeting sales, margin, and inventory turn goals
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications



Education & Experience Requirements

  • Requires 3-5 years retail and/or ecommerce experience; knowledge of retail math 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of retail buying, planning or related analytical experience 
  • Proficient knowledge of SQL and planning software solutions a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient ERP experience with NetSuite knowledge
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerBI and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work some weekend hours while in season and assist in stores during peak holiday seasons and special events
  • Ability to collaborate with Warehouse staff and Buying Team on supply-planning policy and report inbound/outbound inventory positions weekly to highlight warehouse capacity, potential stock-out and excess inventory risk 
  • Ability to work with and build relationships with employees at all levels throughout the Company
  • Ability to collaborate with stores on Rental Replenishment levels and provide product rebalancing reports and recommendations
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Attention to detail
  • Relevant experience in ski or resort rental/retail operations desired

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand or be on your feet, kneel and bend for extended periods of time
  • Regularly work in adverse conditions and required to use protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials as well as an office environment and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces 
  • Must be able to regularly lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
