Our client in the healthcare industry is searching for a Patient Care Coordinator to provide compassionate and efficient service while facilitating the patient care journey. This role is the perfect blend of customer service and administrative expertise for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. Key Responsibilities: + Act as the primary point of contact for patients, coordinating their appointments, treatments, and follow-ups to ensure seamless care experiences. + Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, healthcare providers, and external vendors regarding medical records, instructions, and billing inquiries. + Schedule, confirm, or modify appointments and address last-minute changes with patients and clinical staff. + Assist with insurance verification and pre-authorizations to help patients navigate coverage procedures. + Maintain accurate patient documentation in the electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. + Monitor workflows for pending patient referrals and follow through to ensure timely scheduling and care. + Provide general administrative support to the healthcare team, such as answering phone calls, processing paperwork, and managing office correspondence. Requirements + 2+ years of patient care coordination, medical office administration, or customer service in a healthcare environment. + Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach. Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. + Proficiency in EMR systems like Epic or Cerner; familiarity with scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). + Empathy, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while remaining patient-focused. + High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field preferred.
