**1st Shift Machinist** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team, specializing in setting up and operating CNC machinery. This role requires collaboration with the team for inspection of parts and precise execution of machining processes. **Responsibilities** + Set up and operate CNC Major Mill/Bridge Mill. + Perform basic CNC machine operations or manual milling machine operations. + Apply knowledge of CNC machining G-code and M-code. + Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematics (GD&T). + Understand and utilize machining tooling for various machining processes. + Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members to solve problems. **Essential Skills** + Experience with blueprint reading and setup. + Proficiency in CNC mill operations. + Knowledge of calipers and GD&T. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Knowledge of Okuma OSP, Fanuc, Siemens controls is a plus. + Experience with 3 to 5 axis CNC machines. + Basic knowledge of hand and power tools, including impact wrenches and grinding tools. + Proficiency with metric measuring instruments. + Ability to use test and dial indicators, calipers, precision square, and metal scale ruler. + Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T). + Ability to read and comprehend blueprints. + Understanding of materials and their properties. **Why Work Here?** This position offers long-term growth opportunities, with many employees having been part of the team for over a decade.
