Junior Specialist (Bruno Lab, UCSF)
The Department of Urology is now recruiting a full-time Junior Specialist in the Bruno lab . The Bruno lab is interested in applying synthetic biologic and functional genomics to understand antigen presentation and T-cell recognition in cancer, autoimmunity, and infectious diseases.
The applicant will work on specific projects and has a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic group of scientists, with the possibility of publishing in a high-impact journal. The position duties include performing molecular biology techniques such as DNA extraction, PCR, plasmid preparation, basic cloning, flow cytometry, NGS library prep and analysis, gel electrophoresis, tissue culture, scientific writing, organization of data appropriate to the role in the lab, record keeping and data entry, and shared lab responsibilities including reagent preparation, inventory maintenance, and safety compliance.
