Position Overview
Join our established insurance agency as a Support Specialist working directly with a senior producer who brings 25+ years of industry experience. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to learn the insurance industry from an accomplished mentor while providing essential support for daily operations through the EPIC software platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and distribute Certificates of Insurance (COIs) in response to client and third-party requests
- Support insurance audit processes by gathering necessary documentation, organizing records, and ensuring timely responses
- Enter and maintain accurate client data in the EPIC management system
- Assist with policy submissions and applications, ensuring all required information is complete and accurate
- Monitor and respond to client communications regarding policy changes, updates, and general inquiries
- Coordinate with insurance carriers to resolve issues and obtain necessary information
- Maintain organized digital and physical files following agency protocols
- Support the lead producer with administrative tasks and calendar management
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Strong computer skills with ability to learn new software systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional demeanor and customer service orientation
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in insurance or related financial services
- Familiarity with EPIC or similar agency management systems
- Knowledge of insurance terminology and basic concepts
- Experience with processing certificates of insurance
