Description OCH Technologies is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to provide specialized technical support. The Cybersecurity Engineer will apply analytical and systematic approaches to planning, design, development, testing, and integration of secure information systems.
Location Remote within DMV area (DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia)
Core Responsibilities & Duties - Perform a variety of cybersecurity engineering tasks focused on integrating secure processes, addressing system vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance with DoD security requirements.
- Analyze information security requirements and develop solutions to meet DoD cybersecurity standards.
- Perform integration of electronic processes and methodologies to resolve system or technology issues related to cybersecurity.
- Provide security engineering support across the full system lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, demonstration, and integration.
- Apply structured problem-solving methods to address workflow, organizational, and planning challenges in secure environments.
- Collaborate with government stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to ensure successful implementation of cybersecurity requirements.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
Responsibilities may evolve over time to support team and organizational goals, but will remain consistent with the overall scope of the role.
Requirements Minimum Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent years of relevant work experience
Experience - At least three (3) years of relevant IT experience
- Experience supporting DoD or federal cybersecurity programs
- Experience with system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and secure system integration
Security Clearance Requirement Candidate must have an active Top Secret clearance
Candidate must possess an IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3)
Candidate must also have eligibility for a Tier 5 (T5) / IT-I Critical Sensitive clearance
Licenses/Certifications DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level III
Other Required Skills And Abilities - Ability to analyze and interpret DISA STIGs and apply them to information system security engineering.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with government stakeholders and documenting security solutions.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
