Description:
This person will be responsible for set-up, lay-out, and tack up of various detailed, precision frame weldments and brackets. He/she must have the ability to tack up structures to tight tolerances and to weld out precision frames to exact tolerances. He/she must also perform the final required cosmetic finish with angle grinders and sanders. The fabricator will primarily work with mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· Responsible for set-up, lay-out, and tack up of various precision frame weldments and brackets
· Squaring up, weld, and maintain various geometries of components
· Reading various weld form symbols on blueprints and understand size of fillet forms
· Welding both vertical and horizontal plane geometry
· Moving parts and heavy frames on and off a work table and throughout the facility
· Understanding various edge preps before welding
· Good understanding of set-up techniques
· Meeting agreed upon goals in a timely manner
· Assuring jobs are performed in proper sequence and at the appropriate time
· Assuring the end product is produced correctly and according to assembly blueprints
· Additional items as assigned by manager
COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE
· High School Diploma or GED
· 2+ years fabrication experience in the metal manufacturing industry preferred
